Microchipping

We offer pet microchip identification utilizing the HomeAgain system. HomeAgain is an advanced pet identification and retrieval system. A microchip with a unique identification code is implanted between the shoulder blades of the pet and  provides permanent identification that will not migrate and is safe and reliable. 

What Is HomeAgain?

HomeAgain recovers 10,000 lost pets each month and maintains a nationwide database that is available 24-hours daily, 365 days a year. When a lost pet is found, they can be scanned at an animal shelter or at any clinic. The animal’s identification number will then be called into HomeAgain (1-866-PET-ID24) and the owner is notified immediately.  As a courtesy to our clients, Quioccasin Veterinary Hospital will register every patient who is administered a microchip from our hospital in the HomeAgain national database. This service is included in our cost and there will not be an annual fee to maintain your pet in the database.  If you move or if your personal information changes over the lifetime of your pet, simply call HomeAgain and they will make all necessary changes in the database to ensure you are reunited with your pet as quickly as possible if they are lost.  

HomeAgain does offer an annual membership for a benefits package.  Your first year comes with this package and you will be alerted annually to see if you choose to continue the annual membership.  Membership includes: 24/7 lost Pet specialist, rapid lost pet alerts, personalized lost pet posters, 24/7 emergency medical hotline, and travel assistance for found pets.
