Dr. Maria Hillenbrand

Dr. Maria Hillenbrand joined the Quioccasin Veterinary Hospital team in 2022. She was born in Delaware but spent most of her childhood growing up in Texas and Virginia, before completing her high school career in Pennsylvania. Dr. Hillenbrand earned her bachelor’s degree in General Biology with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies from Washington & Jefferson College. Two years later, she completed a master’s degree in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh. After working in research for a couple of years and producing multiple publications, she attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois and earned her doctoral degree in 2016. Since graduation, she has worked at two small animal hospitals in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Dr. Hillenbrand loves general practice and has an avid interest in cardiology, dentistry, and internal medicine, as well as forming lasting relationships with clients and their pets. She enjoys attending veterinary conferences and holds a membership with the American Veterinary Medical Association.

In her free time, Dr. Hillenbrand enjoys hiking, playing basketball, watching sporting events, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and sharing her household with her rescue dog, Samson.
